Changing DJ Lenka Suzuki's style somewhat (aka, Leighra Proskuriakoff) to a hip hop heavy metal operatic style.


I'm going to post all my work in incremental stages of completion. The reason being is, since digital is my favorite medium, I want to make it clear, that if the computer did ANY work for us tablet artists, then I would never have to do messy as hell gestural sketches before inking and painting. Every clean colored painting I do starts like this. Next step is clean lines, which is the equivalent of taking sketches, putting paper over them, and inking with a lightbox.

At least that's how I roll.

Work in progress for a marker portrait of Amy Lee... I may never finish it is why I'm bothering to post the WIP. But you never know!

Rough sketch for one commissioned piece in a series. I want to get a green light on the basic design then go in, re-line and color. The bag size/shape and dress needs a lot of modifying. Just want to see if the pose and expression are satisfactory.

Sketch of a project I just need to write. I was originally going to make a comic of it but based on real life events, but instead I'm going to go ahead and just tell the story as is.

I will probably do so after the fall of leighra redeux is complete or probably alongside making it. This would be the cover. It'd be a novel v.s. a graphic novel, with only a few key illustrations. When I color I am going to hand draw the text to resemble Mayan glyphs.

Tried for simplified fashion sketches. I also have traditional versions of these for later.
